Meet the family

As you may have already gathered, our family home is in Otley, West Yorkshire (UK) but the younger members of the family are now more widely distributed. There's a page here if you want to find out a little more about us, or where to find us on the web.

Wharfedale

I moved up to Yorkshire from the south of England in 1985, and have never regretted it (although I would not actually mind if it was a bit warmer). Otley is in Wharfedale, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, a truly beautiful part of the world.

Like many out there I do not like receiving unsolicited and especially offensive mass e-mails. One way the the "spammers" get addresses is by "harvesting" them from web sites. So to help thwart this the 'mailto:' links in these pages go to an address which is valid, but which I will change if I start receiving quantities of spam type mail.  So if you are a real person, please do feel free to mail me, but do not record the email address given on this site in your address book.  I will reply with a valid, permanent address.

Design notes -
These pages were originally composed using Netscape Composer, utilise basic HTML 3.2. I then progressed to IBM WebSphere Homepage Builder, which is somewhat more sophisticated, and brought in elements of HTML 4. As my copy is now quite old it does not support many newer standards. My demands are basic so I am now trying SeaMonkey, which takes me right back to Netscape Composer !
To help load times I aim to keep any single image to under 20k (the odd one might slip through)
