Wharfedale

I moved up to Yorkshire from the south of England in 1985, and have never regretted it (although I would not actually mind if it was a bit warmer). Otley is in Wharfedale, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, a truly beautiful part of the world.

Spam notes -
Like many out there I do not like receiving unsolicited and especially offensive mass e-mails. One way the the "spammers" get addresses is by "harvesting" them from web sites. So to help thwart this the 'mailto:' links in these pages go to an address which is valid, but which I will change if I start receiving quantities of spam type mail.  So if you are a real person, please do feel free to mail me, but do not record the email address given on this site in your address book.  I will reply with a valid, permanent address.

Design notes -
These pages were originally composed using Netscape Composer, utilise basic HTML 3.2. However I have now progressed to IBM WebSphere Homepage Builder, which is somewhat more sophisticated, so elements of HTML 4 are appearing.
GIFs have all been saved using the Netscape 256 colour pallette.  JPGs are all 16.7m colour, so will be dithered on your machine to whatever colour depth you are supporting.
Best viewed at a minimum 800x600 resolution.
To help load times I aim to keep any single image to under 20k (the odd one might slip through)
